*The varicella vaccine and the hepatitis B series are required for school entry in Pennsylvania.  Those age 6 and above who had only one varicella vaccine will receive a booster dose.

**Anyone age 11 and above who has not received a Td booster will receive the Adacel, which is a DPT product.  Also, those who received a Td booster 2 or more years previously will receive the Adacel.

***We will give the Menactra (meningococcal)  vaccine to all youngsters age 11 and above who have not had it yet, supply permitting.  It is recommended for all students beginning college.

****The Gardasil vaccine, which protects women against some strains of the human papillomavirus - a sexually transmitted virus that can lead to cervical cancer  - is given in a series of three shots over a six month period.

IPV = Inactivated Polio Vaccine; ADPT = Acellular DPT; PPD = Tuberculin Test; MMR = Measles, Mumps, and Rubella; HIB = Hemophilus Influenza Type B; Td = Tetanus/Diphtheria, adult type
