Immunizations

Immunizations are an important part of keeping your child healthy. Patients of the practice recieve immunizations at their well checks according to the ACIP schedule. If your child is not due for a well visit but needs a vaccine, don't worry—they can make an appointment for the immunization. If your child is being seen for a sick visit and needs a vaccine, we are happy to give advice on whether we recommend they get the vaccine that day or on a return visit. 

Situations when your child might need vaccines outside of well checks include:

• Flu season 
• Coronavirus vaccination
• Tetanus booster following certain injuries
• To meet college immunization requirments
• To meet pre-employment immunization requirements
• Travel vaccination (Note: this requires an appointment with a doctor or nurse practitioner to determine which vaccines will be needed)
